Portraits:

I love simple portraits.  There's a place for those "off" moments that are more or less "real" depending on the situation, but myself, I'm also drawn to the straight portrait.  The person knows I'm there and knows why and accepts me on an even footing.  We give each other a little something.  Tango dancers in Argentina who dance Milonga say in the moments of their dance, they fall in love with their partner.  For a moment I fell in love with every single person in these images.  They are in small businesses, big businesses, factories, grocery stores, restaurants, car repair shops, homes, rivers, lakes, on the street or on the road.  Some of these folks are famous.  Some are less so.  Some are simply simple people, and then some are not what they appear at all.  It's the portrait that tells the story.
